I have had countless conversations--some more productive than others--with feminists/lesbians/queer women about the mistaken notion of losing "our strong, women-identified women" to becoming FTMs. The point the writer brings up about needing to create a community for those of us who fit in between and who are too often marginalized by the "majority" queer community (not to mention the straight community) is a valid an important one. We need to get creative about creating such communities.
